Firstbase Alternative for a Non-Resident's Florida LLC
Firstbase Start doesn't cover Florida. We do, for $399 plus the $125 state fee: formation, twelve months as your agent, your EIN, and a prepared bank application. Agent renewal is $99/yr.
Short verdict: Firstbase can't file a Florida LLC, and outside Florida its low headline price comes with a $299 yearly agent charge. It's a capable service with a clearly priced tax product for non-US owners. For a non-resident who wants Florida specifically, our package is the direct option. We sell it, so keep that in mind as you read.
Can Firstbase form a Florida LLC?
Firstbase Start, the formation product, is offered in Delaware and Wyoming. Florida isn't on that list.
What Firstbase does well
- A published price for the annual federal filing. Non-US single-member LLCs can buy Form 5472 preparation, with the pro forma 1120, 1099s, and an extension, for $899 a year.
- Annual reports inside the agent fee. Firstbase says its $299 registered agent product includes annual report and BOI filings.
- No SSN or ITIN needed for the EIN, according to Firstbase.
- Banking. Mercury is named on the Firstbase Start page.
- Extras. C-corp formation, mailroom plans from $35 a month, and accounting.

Figures from firstbase.io, September 29, 2026.
First-year and ongoing cost
- Firstbase in Wyoming, year one: $99 + $100 state fee + $299 agent = $498.
- Firstbase in Delaware, year one: $99 + $110 + $299 = $508.
- Our package in Florida, year one: $399 + $125 = $524.
- Later years: $299 for the Firstbase agent against $99 for ours.
We're $16 to $26 more in year one and $200 less each year after. One fair adjustment: Firstbase's agent fee includes annual report filing and ours doesn't, so put a value on your own time for Florida's report, or on a filing service, before comparing the renewals.
The Florida report you'll owe
Each spring a Florida LLC sends Sunbiz its report and $138.75, any time from New Year's Day through May 1. The state charges $400 on anything filed after May 1 and won't forgive it; still no report by the third Friday of September and the company can be dissolved administratively. Our package doesn't file this for you.
How we're different
Florida is what we do
We file your Articles with the Division of Corporations and act as your agent from a physical Florida office, which state law requires instead of a PO Box.
The agent is part of the $399
Your first twelve months of agent service come with the package. From then on it's $99 a year, and you can cancel from the dashboard.
Your bank application, drafted and waiting
Firstbase gives customers access to a Mercury application. We take the drafting on ourselves: the application for our partners is built from your order, your Florida Articles are attached, and it's complete when your SS-4 is signed. Approve it, and we send it off while the IRS works on your EIN. Approval rests with our partners and can't be guaranteed.
EIN handled on paper, the way it has to be
Without an SSN, the IRS online form isn't available. We fill in the SS-4, you e-sign, and we fax it. Expect two to eight weeks.

FAQ
Does Firstbase form LLCs in Florida?
Not through Firstbase Start, which is limited to Delaware and Wyoming. If your LLC has to be a Florida company, you'll need a Florida-capable provider.
How do first-year totals compare?
Firstbase Start is $99 plus a required $299 agent. With Wyoming's $100 fee that's $498; with Delaware's $110 it's $508. Our Florida package is $524, so Firstbase is $16 to $26 lower in year one.
And in later years?
Firstbase charges $299 yearly for its agent; our renewal is $99. Florida's $138.75 annual report fee is separate and goes to the state.
What does Firstbase's $299 agent fee include?
Firstbase says its registered agent product covers annual report and BOI filings. That's filing work our package doesn't do, and it's worth counting if you'd otherwise pay someone.
Can Firstbase file my Form 5472?
Yes. Firstbase prices tax filing for foreign-owned single-member LLCs at $899 annually, covering the pro forma 1120, 1099s, and an extension too. We don't do tax filings.
